Hall of Fame Re-Launches Website at Baseballhall.org
Mobile-Friendly Platform, Supported by Empire State Development and I Love NY, Brings Fans Around the World Closer than Ever to Cooperstown
(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – More than two hundred years of history, stories and legends are preserved at the home of baseball in Cooperstown.
Today, thanks to support from Empire State Development and the I Love NY Division of Tourism, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum has re-launched its website, www.baseballhall.org, with rich content and a mobile-friendly design that will bring Cooperstown to fans around the world.
Built with Museum partner Cogapp, the new www.baseballhall.org is the first major step in the implementation of the Museum’s strategic plan to digitize the Museum’s vast two-dimensional, three-dimensional and audio/video collections. With additional support from the Yawkey Foundation and ION, the re-designed site offers in-depth looks at the 306 Hall of Famers and access to never-before-available online collections while connecting supporters around the globe to baseball’s glorious history.
Using the Museum’s 40,000 three-dimensional artifacts and 250,000 photos as resource material, the re-designed www.baseballhall.org will feature robust narratives and historical analysis while also focusing on the stories making news in baseball today, such as Derek Jeter’s Hall of Fame candidacy and his generous donations to the Museum. Visitors will be treated to in-depth looks at topics through stories, videos, artifact photos and historic images – all from the Museum’s collections.
The new site also features expanded Cooperstown trip-planning tools, robust supportive content from the Museum’s Membership Program, shopping opportunities and the ability to share the Museum’s unique content across social media channels.
